Friday was spent largely in air transit from Alice Springs
to Sydney. With an early afternoon departure from Alice Springs, we finally
arrived back at the Sydney harbor area around 6:30pm. This provided just enough
time to purchase a couple bottles of Australian wines before boarding the ship.
Given the ship’s 8pm embarkation from Sydney and our late terminal arrival, we
noticed the boarding desk was being dismantled as we were receiving our cabin
keys.
We are now en route to Hobart. It will take 36 hours to
reach the port so we have a full day of relaxing after a fairly busy week of
land travel through Australia.
