Making Long Distance Flying Easier

No need to feel sorry for us and our 15 hour flight from LAX to Sydney. We're flying on business class which provides us access to the Qantas international business lounge while we wait four hours before boarding our flight.

After clearing security, we wandered up to the business lounge to grab a bite to eat. For those that haven't used the business lounges, they are a great place to find a somewhat isolated quiet terminal location to have a glass of wine or beer, put together a plate of salad, cold cuts and/or hot food and all at no additional cost - though I'm sure the business ticket easily covers this expense. Nonetheless, the lounge is a great place to pass time waiting for a flight.

There are television monitors, computers and WiFi to keep you connected during your wait.

Some of the business lounges in Asia provide even more services - such as free fine spirits (actually, I found the spirits in the Qantas lounge, as well).

We found our seat for the next 15 hours...
