What to pack for an Antarctic trip has been in our thoughts for the past year and a half. With this much time before the actual trip, we were able to purchase some 2014 end-of-winter season sale items almost ten months before our January trip.
Quark Expeditions supplies waterproof winter jackets and boots for each guest at the embarkation point. This is helpful as packing calf-high rubber boots in your luggage can be a challenge and the jackets are quite bulky. The ship also provides fee-based laundry service and the dry air makes hand washing and drying clothes a little easier.
With this in mind, here is my packing list for one individual, excluding warm weather items for IguaƧu Falls:
