Bath, May 10, 2015

We spent one entire day in Bath. We left Apsley House by bus right after breakfast and returned after dinner. Once in the central city area, we joined the free Mayor's city walk guided tour. With a group of about 18 travelers, the city guide showed us many historical sites in the city. Sights included the Abbey, Roman Baths, Circus, Squares, building construction, historical development, The Circus, Royal Crescent, Georgian Assembly Rooms and a description of Georgian life in Bath. After lunch of a pasty and coffee/drinks and we then toured the Roman Baths. Afterwards, we continued on our city tour by visiting the Fashion Museum to see dress from the periods ranging from 1700s to current day and then to the #1 Royal Crescent to view a restored house with period furnishings.
