Portable WIFI Router for Japan Travel - July 2023

If you're traveling in Japan, anywhere and anytime Internet connectivity from your mobile phone, tablet and/or portable computer can be really helpful. In fact, such access could make your trip worry-free. If your Internet use was easy to arrange and configure and at a flat rate for unlimited high-speed access, what could be better? Use of a travel WIFI router means that you no longer need to look for Internet hotspots and complete non-English language (presuming English is your primary language) temporary registration information while you travel in Japan.

What could be even better? How about a 20% discount for rental of a portable pocket WIFI router, with pick-up and return via your international airport in Japan?

Ninja WIFI recently reached out to me. I am now able to offer you a 20 percent discount for rental of a portable travel WIFI router by using this ==> link <==.  I receive absolutely no compensation for your use of Ninja WIFI and offer this discount simply as a convenience to readers.

I can’t say that Ninja WIFI is the best pocket router, has the most features or is the least expensive. I haven't done an exhaustive search and comparison of WIFI router offerings. So, you might want to web search to find any alternatives and do a comparison yourself. Personally, I used Japan Wireless for my 2019 Japan trip. That said, I might try Ninja WIFI for my next trip.

The Ninja WIFI registration is pretty easy. The registration process is similar for other WIFI router providers. Using the above link, you follow three steps:

It is best to complete your WIFI router reservation at least a week before you plan to arrive in Japan. At the airport pick-up location, you will receive a small portable WIFI router, a charging cable, a travel case and instruction manual.  Ninja WIFI has options if you would like to rent a spare battery and/or purchase router insurance for loss or damage. If I recall correctly, Japan Wireless included a spare battery with its rental and also had an insurance option.
