When we travel, we are accompanied by power chargers for cell phones, Kindles, cameras, iPad and computer. As we still haven't settled on common electronics, the need for outlets can become a challenge - particularly on a cruise ship where you might have one or two easily accessible power outlets. Packing a power strip that can support several chargers at once is often a convenient solution. However, the power adapter needs to be compact. The typical home power strip with its three foot power cord and bulky power outlet head is too large, particularly for a traveler than needs to go a lighter route.
We've been using the Monster Outlets to Go as our travel power strip solution. Not only is the strip compact but the four power outlets (two on each side) are spaced wide enough to accommodate multiple large camera power chargers without losing access to the nearby power outlet on the strip. Moreover, this strip is compatible with overseas power sources - as long as you have the correct power plug adapter. The Monster Outlets to Go is available for about ten dollars.
