Our last temple visit was to Dendera Temple. Due to low Nile River water levels in Qena, we had to take a two hour coach ride to reach this site.
The structures at Dendera range in age from 2250 BC to 360-340 BC. The complex covers almost 9 acres. The ceiling panels were particularly striking as the colors are vibrant in many areas.
Depictions of Cleopatra VI are clear on temple walls, confirmed by her cartouche. A cartouche representing her name and title accompany the panel carvings.
